Urgent: 5.0-magnitude quake hits Afghanistan-Tajikistan Border Region — GFZ-Xinhua
BEIJING, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted Afghanistan-Tajikistan Border Region at 2027 GMT on Sunday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said. The epicenter, with a depth of 231.3 km, was initially determined to be at 36.70 degrees north latitude and 71.10 degrees east longitude. ■
