Syria condemns renewed Israeli construction along disengagement line-Xinhua
DAMASCUS, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Syria on Sunday condemned what it described as continued Israeli violations of its territory, following the resumption of construction work on a military project along the disengagement line in the southern province of Quneitra. In a statement, the Syrian foreign authority said the latest violation involved the resumption of work on what Israel calls the "Sufa 53" line, describing the move as a "clear breach" of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and a violation of international legitimacy. The authority said continued Israeli military actions, including incursions and other military movements, pose a direct threat to regional peace and stability and undermine international law.
