CONAKRY, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy hospital ship Auspicious Ark arrived in Conakry, the capital of Guinea, on Saturday to begin a seven-day friendly visit and provide medical services, marking the first visit by a Chinese naval hospital ship to Guinea. The hospital ship, which is carrying out Mission Harmony-2026, docked at the Port of Conakry at around 10:00 a.m. local time. Guinean government and military officials, military personnel, the Chinese ambassador to Guinea, defense attache and embassy staff, local residents, representatives of overseas Chinese and Chinese enterprises gathered at the port to welcome the ship. Medical plane carrying 6 loses contact en route to Boston-Xinhua

WASHINGTON, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- A medical plane with six people on board lost contact on Saturday while flying from Bermuda to Boston, the U.S. Coast Guard said in a statement. "At approximately 2 a.m., the Federal Aviation Administration notified the Coast Guard that contact had been lost with the Gulfstream G100 aircraft, tail number C-GRJP," the statement said. The Coast Guard said its air and surface crews are searching an area off the coast of Nantucket. The missing plane was operated by Latitude Air Ambulance, a Canadian medical evacuation company, according to media reports. ■ Source link
