Qatar emir meets visiting Iranian minister, discusses regional de-escalation efforts-Xinhua
DOHA, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met visiting Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni on Tuesday and discussed the latest regional developments and efforts to de-escalate tensions. Sheikh Tamim met Momeni and his delegation at the Amiri Diwan, the emir's administration office, in Doha, according to a statement from the Amiri Diwan. The meeting came as Qatar continued diplomatic contacts with various parties and regional partners to ease tensions and reach a peaceful solution to the regional crisis.
