BEIJING, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted Kuril Islands at 1648 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 48.29 degrees north latitude and 154.88 degrees east longitude. ■
