How do you cross a road during a marathon?

During a marathon in Yunnan, China, police used a "pendulum-style" system to guide pedestrians safely across the race route -- timing each crossing so runners could keep going while pedestrians made it safely to the other side.

Keeping everyone moving -- safely and smoothly.
