Ghana FA introduces two-legged FA Cup final-Xinhua

ACCRA, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- The 2026-27 Ghana FA Cup final will be played over two legs for the first time in the competition's history, the Ghana Football Association announced Tuesday. "The change represents a significant departure from the traditional single-match final and is expected to add another layer of excitement and competition to the country's premier knockout tournament," the GFA said on its official website. The FA Cup preliminary round will be played from October 23 to 26. Norway updates Ny-Alesund research strategy, introduces new access requirements-Xinhua

OSLO, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- The Norwegian government on Tuesday unveiled an updated strategy for Ny-Alesund research station in Svalbard, strengthening research coordination and introducing new requirements for researchers and infrastructure. According to a press release by the government, the strategy introduces approval procedures for installing new research infrastructure and equipment. Instruments used in the field must be labeled with the institution's name and a project code to identify their use and ownership. Researchers and other personnel must have sufficient proficiency in Norwegian or English to communicate on safety, emergency preparedness and scientific cooperation.
