ACCRA, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) — The 2026-27 Ghana FA Cup final will be played over two legs for the first time in the competition’s history, the Ghana Football Association announced Tuesday.
“The change represents a significant departure from the traditional single-match final and is expected to add another layer of excitement and competition to the country’s premier knockout tournament,” the GFA said on its official website.
The FA Cup preliminary round will be played from October 23 to 26. The competition will run through June, with the two legs of the final scheduled for June 5-7 and June 12-13, 2027, respectively. ■
